We’ve kept everything you like about our long sleeve bamboo crews and made it in 100% Australian merino. The wool is 18.5 micron, fine enough to wear against skin without the prickle you remember from old wool jumpers and long johns. At 190gsm it holds real warmth on a cold morning but stays light enough to wear under a knit without feeling bulky.
Why Merino? It keeps you warm when it’s cold and breathes when you warm up. It takes on moisture without feeling damp, so there’s no clammy chill after a brisk walk, and it resists odour, so it can go a few days between washes. Same fitted shape, same extra length, same high neckline as our bamboo base layers.
Why we made it: No logos, or flat lock seams so this top is endlessly versatile. Wear it while hiking, slip it under a jumper on your Alaskan cruise, layer it on the slopes in Japan and then pair it with pants for a night out! It's designed to look like a smart black top, but with all the benefits of merino for your day time adventures.
