Thanks for the honest feedback Mel, and worth being straight with you before you travel. These are base layers rather than heavyweight thermals, so on a mild day worn alone they'll feel light. The warmth builds when there's a jumper or jacket over the top, and that's how they're designed to work. If you're heading somewhere genuinely cold, they'll do their job as the layer against your skin, but they won't replace a warm mid layer and an outer layer for the wind and rain. I bought this to wear as an extra layer of warmth under shirts. It’s a bit lighter than I expected but will be good for spring. I also found the sleeves are short, stopping above my elbows (I’m 175cm tall).
